1. About Crescia
Crescia is an educational nutrition-companion service operated in the United Kingdom. We help you articulate symptoms, organise your intake into AI-generated summaries, and (when you choose) connect with UK-qualified nutrition professionals registered with BANT, CNHC, or AfN.
Crescia is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical diagnoses, prescriptions, or treatment. The AI-generated summaries are educational tools designed to help you communicate more effectively with qualified professionals — they are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use Crescia. By creating an account you confirm that you meet both requirements. We may ask you to verify your age or residency at any time.
3. Educational use only
Nothing on Crescia constitutes medical advice. The service is designed to help you reflect on and articulate your nutritional health concerns — not to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 immediately. For non-emergency medical concerns, contact NHS 111 or your GP. If Crescia's symptom intake identifies that your responses may warrant urgent attention, we will direct you to these services and pause any further processing.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at /contact if you become aware of any unauthorised use.
You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. When you do, we remove your personal data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. This includes, but is not limited to: attempting to access other users' data; reverse-engineering, scraping, or probing the platform; submitting deliberately false intake responses; using Crescia to harass, spam, or impersonate nutritionists or other users; and circumventing any security measures or access controls.
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.
6. Nutritionist connections
Where Crescia helps you connect with a nutritionist, the resulting professional relationship is between you and that nutritionist. Crescia is not a party to any consultation, care plan, or fee arrangement that follows. We verify that listed nutritionists hold current registrations with the professional bodies they claim, but we do not supervise the advice they give you.
Any fees charged by a nutritionist are agreed between you and them directly. Crescia does not process payments for nutritionist services.
7. Intellectual property
The Crescia name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property. The content you submit (symptom data, notes, messages) remains yours. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process your content as described in our Privacy Policy — including generating AI summaries and, where you consent, using de-identified data to improve the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crescia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost data, loss of goodwill, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and date at the top of this page and prompt you to re-accept the next time you sign in. Continued use of Crescia after a non-material change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of Crescia.
